Ixion Ensemble

Our Mission: To build and strengthen community through storytelling. Become a gathering place for artists and community members to explore and celebrate the human experience.

Performances September 8, 9, 15, 16

Directed by Oralya Garza

Maggie survived the end of the world, and has enough supplies to last. But now her daughter has come home, and something is wrong about her. The two women square off, kept apart only by their pasts and a protective chalk circle, hastily drawn on to the floor.

Performances October 20,21,27 & 28

Directed by Leo Poroshin

The room is completely white. We discover Ms. White, Jennings, and Mr. Paine shortly after they have arrived, and follow their journey as they attempt to figure out exactly what they are meant to be doing. There are letters that only Ms. White can read. There is the arrival of The Last Deck of Cards in the World –one-thing-leading-to-another – somewhere between throwing a party, suppressing sexual tensions, and dancing a tango – this senseless world summons its puppeteer, who’s in for a big surprise.

Performances March 16, 17, 23, 24

Directed by Ixion Artistic Director Jeff Croff

The last human in the universe, E-V, has been hiding out in the galactic battle arenas, but the General who destroyed all the humans on Earth has tracked her down. She deals with low-life fight promoters, multi-armed killing machines, snarky androids and other tried and true space opera schlock. Meanwhile the rebels are striking blow after blow upon an empire and taking no prisoners.
