Kelly & Du by Jane Martin – Icarus Falling productions brought this volatile drama to life on the Creole Gallery stage October 15, 16, 22 & 23, 2004. Du, a radical Right to Life activist and Keely, the pregnant rape victim she confines after abduction on her way to obtain an abortion, attempted to transcend their circumstances and the ideological issues that separated them. Frequent visits from fundamentalist pastor Walter and a catastrophic visit from Cole, ex-husband and father of the child all added to a dynamic that kept audiences transfixed on a complex, multisided situation.
